England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes took indefinite break from international cricket

England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes has taken an indefinite break from international cricket. This has been confirmed by the England and Wales Cricket Board.

He has taken this decision to give priority to improving his mental condition and to give rest to the index finger of his left hand.

Stokes had fractured this finger during the Indian Premier League, which was later operated on. His injury has not fully healed yet. The ECB issued a statement saying that it fully supports Stokes’ decision, and we will continue to assist him during the period he is away from the game. Ashley Giles, Managing Director of England Men’s Cricket, said: “Ben has shown tremendous courage to open up about his feelings and well being. Our primary focus has always been on the mental health and well-being of all of our people.
