Inmates at Myanmar’s most notorious prison demonstrated against the ruling military on Friday. In videos released on social media, the prisoners are seen protesting against the ruling military government by raising political slogans while singing popular patriotic songs.

Inmates in Yangon’s Insein prison are seen in a video shouting slogans in support of top leader Aung San Suu Kyi and ousted President Win Myint. A lawyer for some of the prisoners, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the protesting prisoners were demanding the release of all those arrested on political charges.
