Experts say India’s Agni-P missile is not a threat to China

The missile was successfully tested by India’s Defense Research and development Organization (DRDO) from Abdul Kalam Island.

The missile has been compared to China’s DF-21D ‘Aircraft Carrier Killer’ missile.

But Chinese experts say the Indian missile is not a threat to China. They argue that this missile is not as powerful as the Chinese missile.

After a successful test of the Agni-P, the DRDO said its missile had landed at its designated location as planned.

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also said on Twitter that the new missile had strengthened his defense capabilities. He said that is “stronger” to deter attacks on their country.

The missile is said to have a range of 1,000 to 2,000 kilometers. It is said to be connected to the latest technology.

China’s DF-21

Agni series missiles come to the fore as disputes with Pakistan and China escalate. Agni 5 missile is an intercontinental ballistic missile. This missile can hit up to 8,000 km.

It has already been reported that the missile could reach as far as China and strike. But Agni P is said to have reached as far as China’s main cities of Beijing and Shanghai.

However, it is capable of killing its enemies as far as the Indo-Pacific region.

China’s DF-26D is the world’s first anti-SIP ballistic missile with a range of 1,800 km. China also has a DF-26B ballistic missile that can reach a range of 5,000 km. It is especially used to attack military ships.

Earlier last year, China successfully launched two aircraft carrier killer destroyers, DF-26B and DF-21D. The missile destroyed a submarine during a military exercise in the South China Sea.

“More tests are needed to prove the anti-SIP capability of the Agni-P missile,” said Song Jongping, a military analyst with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army on India’s Agni-P missile.

According to him, attacking a military ship with ballistic missiles is a complex and systematic project. He said the plan would be successful only if the missiles could not strike the right place and other support systems were strong.

He said that with reliable satellite navigation, it would be easier to find targets and with good guidance, missiles could hit on the spot.

He said that a weak India would definitely strengthen itself in the future. Even though it does not have the capability to attack military ships like Agni-P warships right now, the missile has made India stronger, says Sang.

“It may not attack major cities in China or Pakistan, but it can work well on strategic targets such as armed vehicles or airports,” he said.
