Mahakali Incident: Nepal’s Home Minister formed inquiry committee

The government has constituted a committee to probe the incident of a Nepalese national falling into the river after the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) cut the rope bridge while crossing the Mahakali river.

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has constituted an inquiry committee headed by the Home Secretary. The committee includes spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, DIG of Sudurpashchim Police of Nepal Police and Assistant Chief District Officer of Darchula.

Home Minister Khand has instructed to check the facts and submit the report at the earliest.

Jai Singh Dhami of Byans Rural Municipality-2 Darchula, has gone missing after falling into the Mahakali river as indian SSB cut the rope bridge while crossing the river on Friday morning.
